After years in the restaurant business, owners of Lucy's Burgers saw a new opportunity. After already having an established pizzeria, they saw a storefront go up for sale directly next to their pizzeria. With years of restaurant experience from gourmet popcorn to pizza, Jeff and Lucinda decided that it was time to take on a new venture and open a burger place they were proud of.

"A legend was born"
The first "Juicy Lucy" was made in Minneapolis when a customer of a small bar requested two hamburger patties with a slice of cheese in the middle. He said, "That's one Juicy Lucy," and a legend was born as he bit into this brand-new, molten-hot burger. Here in Flagstaff, we start with fresh, local beef before stuffing our enormous burger patty with American cheese and topping it with a slice.
